Her class is vigorous. She ‘s been described as hardcore, and intense. She will bring the heat but with her you will not burn down to the ground. She will elevate you, push you to your fullest potential where you will find yourself soaring to new heights and exceeding both your physical and mental limits every time you hit your matt.
Anna’s passion for yoga is evident as is her zest for almost anything she does. A singer songwriter and performer, Anna found yoga about 6 years ago when working on her first independent album, arriving at her first class at Downward Dog on Queen Street in Toronto, in a pair of socks. Not knowing what she was in for, she was completely surprised and in awe with what she discovered. In dealing with the pressures of being an artist in the music industry she found herself at total peace on her matt. “It’s as if there was no noise around me, just the sound of my own breath and the beat of my heart.” To Anna, the practice became much like a dance, and the classroom her mini stage where she would work out not just her body, but also her mind. Guiding you through the postures to your ability in a one-hour power and power flow class, giving you her all every time to ensue that you have an experience you’ll remember, Anna will have you coming back.

I would have to say that I really didn’t find yoga, but rather it found me. I started doing Yoga in January 2012. Initially, it was a New Year’s Resolution. The plan was to sign up for a month of unlimited yoga, to help relieve the stress that I was feeling at work, and once all my stress was gone, to go back to my ‘regular’ life—up until this point, the only way I knew how to deal with life’s stresses: running my worries away on my treadmill and the odd bicep curl. After reading many articles and talking to a few friends who had tried yoga, I was ready and open to let this “yoga” do its thing. I had been struggling with this sense of confusion and emptiness in my mind, a longing for more and what else, even considering a career change. As soon as I did that first yoga class, I came out saying “What just happened?!” Having been a runner for 16 years, I never thought that I would feel something even better than that “runner’s high.” Little did I know how life altering that class would be. This class shook me up. I loved it but I wasn’t sure what do to next. All I knew is that I wanted and needed more. I soon discovered that my practice was not only about the physicality and how amazing my body felt but rather the total rinsing and clearing of my mind and spirit. I was learning to deal with difficult circumstances with peace and acceptance and letting go of the things that were not beneficial in my life. That was the care that I truly needed. After only one class I knew that my practice of yoga was that piece that I needed to align my mind, body and spirit. Soon after, I knew that I wanted to share this joy, this peace that I felt, with others.
In 2013, I completed my Yoga teacher training and became a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance). I specialize in teaching Core/Fusion Yoga (a more Pilates-Based Yoga class) and vary my classes accordingly, whether it be a more Vinyasa Flow Yoga class or a more Hatha Flow class.
The huge transformations in my life have been as a result of coming on my mat day in and out and being around the Yoga community. I am challenged every time I am attending and teaching a yoga class but most importantly, I am inspired to find my inner power and strength and inspired to do the same for others through my teaching. I am thrilled to be teaching at Xtreme Couture and am so grateful to be a part of this positive and welcoming community.

Andy is a SPIN certified instructor. His passion is athletics and endurance rides. When he’s not on the baseball field either playing or coaching, you can find Andy running along the scenic routes of the Lakeshore.
You can expect high intensity, a fast pace, and lots of energy in Andy’s class. His Wednesday night ‘sprint’ class is described as the insanity workout on steroids! He’s been working in the Toronto morning radio scene for over 10 years now, which is why you can bank on the newest and hottest music during his classes.
Random Factoid…Andy encourages singing along to the music in his classes, but only if everyone else can hear it!

My passion for yoga began during my early years where my sister and I would combine dance and yoga into routines and perform for guests staying at our parents resort. I continued to immerse myself in teaching and healing over the years by obtaining degrees in psychology and teaching.
I was also drawn to other holistic forms of healing and became a certified Reiki Master and certified practising hypno-therapist.
During my teaching years I taught my students yoga during physical education classes. I soon decided that I needed to fully devote myself to teaching yoga, meditation and improving the health of others. I have a great passion for gardening and cooking and combine my knowledge of nutrition to create delicious, wholesome paleo meals. My goal is to one day open a retreat for healing which will combine my studies in holistic healing and my experiences growing up on a resort. The style of yoga that I teach is Power Vinyasa. Power Vinyasa Yoga is a powerful, challenging, energetic form of yoga where students move fluidly
from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements. My classes are truly transformative to the devoted practitioner and will challenge them on all levels; physically, mentally and spiritually. Students will learn to continually push beyond what they once believed possible about themselves.
The benefits of yoga are multifaceted, students will enhance their awareness, increase their flexibility, strength, balance, mental acuity and endurance. Ultimately a greater sense of well-being and health will endow the practitioner.
Thanks,
Sheila

I started my yoga journey 9 years ago and since my first class I fell in love with it. After 5 years of practicing, I decided to take the next step and become a yoga teacher!
Before becoming a yoga instructor I worked in the financial industry for six years. It was a rewarding experience; however, my true passion lies in yoga. For me, yoga is not only a physical activity, it is a lifestyle—everything that you experience on your mat: passion, care, love and respect, can be taken off the mat into everyday life.
I am certified in Hatha & Vinyasa, completing my 200 hour Yoga Alliance certificate at Tula, a studio located in downtown Toronto. I have been teaching yoga for three years and I have learned from several great teachers along the way. One of them is Diane Bruni. She has not only taught me about yoga, but she has also showed me the importance of embracing life and becoming more aware and connected with oneself. Another great teacher is J-P Tamblyn Sabo. His charisma, knowledge and passion for yoga has taught me the importance of teaching from my heart and being ones true self.
My classes tend to be a challenging flow style with dynamic and creative transitions.
In January 2014, I completed my level 1 & 2 Reiki Certification. Reiki is a holistic hand’s on healing method that helps people on the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual level.
This led him to work with many experts and companies as a trainer, marketer and distributor of supplements and health devices.
